Effective April 1, 2013, we are implementing an airport handling fee to all shipments destined to Quito, Ecuador. This is a result of recent notification from air carriers of a new airport handling fee which, according to the carriers, is due to a substantial increase in operational costs at Ecuador’s new Quito Airport (Mariscal Sucre International Airport - UIO).

This fee will apply as follows:

• All shipments destined to Quito, Ecuador (UIO) will be subject to an airport handling fee of USD $0.12 per kg / minimum USD $12.00
• This fee is based on the chargeable weight
• This additional charge will appear on your UPS invoice as “Airport Fee”
